With options, the risk is limited to the initial investment for both long puts and calls which will be the only trade strategies on this blog.
In general a conservative fixed % of the account value could be devoted to each trade. As a rule of thumb devoting 2% of an account value to each trade will be reasonable. For larger accounts the % devoted to each trade should be decreased. e.g. (0.5-1.0%)
